NCC Training & Development

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the premier uniformed youth organization in India, comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings. It is committed to developing the character, discipline, leadership, and patriotic spirit of young students, thereby shaping them into responsible citizens of the nation.

The NCC unit at Muslim Arts College plays a vital role in nurturing discipline, unity, and leadership qualities among students. With an authorized strength of one officer and 104 cadets, the unit provides structured training and opportunities for students to actively participate in nation-building activities.

The unit is led by Dr. M. Jagathish, Head of the Department of Commerce (UG), who serves as the Company Commander. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant on March 6, 2017, and through his dedicated service and commitment, he has now been promoted to the rank of Captain. Under his guidance, the NCC unit has been actively engaging cadets in various training programmes and extension activities.

The NCC cadets regularly participate in:
  • Drill training and parade practices
  • Annual Training Camps (ATC) and special camps
  • Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations
  • Social service and community development programmes
  • Awareness campaigns on health, environment, and national integration

Through these activities, cadets develop self-confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, and a spirit of service. The NCC also provides opportunities for students to pursue careers in the Armed Forces and other uniformed services.

The NCC unit of Muslim Arts College stands as a platform that transforms young students into disciplined, dedicated, and socially responsible citizens, contributing positively to society and the nation.
